Class Descriptions

Hatha Yoga: This Ancient practice will increase self-awareness, strength, flexibility and inner peace. The Sanskrit word Hatha means “willful or forceful” or the yoga of activity.  This style of yoga allows for a greater focus on alignment and mindful breathing, making the practice accessible to all. We complete this class with a deep relaxation.

Vinyasa Flow:  In this style of yoga the postures are linked together using the breath to create a flowing sequence of movement.  This practice generates a deep sense of mindfulness, strength and stability. Every class has a unique flow building internal heat and focus. We gradually find our way in to stillness. (Savansa)

Power Vinyasa Yoga: Power Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic and challenging style of yoga that synchronizes breath with movement to create a powerful internal heat that opens up your body and your mind. With a focus on the principles of alignment to build a strong, safe practice, you will be challenged to play with your edge and explore your own possibilities on the mat. It is through
the physical practice – getting on the mat and doing the work that you discover your own power, vitality and freedom in your body.
In this open level class, modifications and yoga props are provided making this a welcoming practice for all. You will build overall strength and flexibility, release tension and leave class with a clear mind, an open heart and a renewed spirit!
This practice is fun and challenging - so get ready to move, breathe, sweat and be empowered!

Beginner Yoga: Appropriate for all, this class is beneficial to all students seeking a relaxing, gentle nourishing practice. The combination of gentle hatha and slow vinyasa (flow) is done in a relaxed pace with step-by-step instruction. Alignment cues and modifications are provided throughout. This practice is taught at a slower pace to focus on connecting breath with movement while learning the sequence of poses. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner looking for a slower pace with a focus on form, breath and relaxation this is the class for you.

Power Hour:  A challenging, steady-paced vinyasa flow class that uses movement and breath to build strength, stamina and flexibility while renewing your energy and spirit. This class is practiced in a heated room to increase flexibility and detoxification. You will leave revitalized and restored. While all levels of practice are welcome, a basic understanding of the yoga poses is helpful due to the pace of the class.

Restorative Yoga:   Restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate health and relaxation.  You will leave with a sense of calm throughout your entire body, a sense of clarity within your mind and feel completely rejuvenated.  This practice is about finding stillness in positions that will allow the body to surrender to bring  balance to your nervous system.
